I've worked out this recipe after like 5 batches, since there isn't already in existence a decent pomegranate chip recipe out there, at least not one I could find. So, the result is sort of a combination of multiple recipes, input from chef friends, and trial and error. It gives me great pleasure in life to have my very own ice cream recipe.

I should also note that Haagen-Dazs used to make pomegranate chip ice cream, but it was a special edition and they have since stopped production. Considering the fact that consuming entire pints of "pomchip" with friends became a way of life, this was a tragic loss. I still wake up in cold sweats dreaming of my lost pomchip. But, no more, my friends. No more.

This is officially my favorite ice cream ever. Maybe favorite dessert ever. Maybe favorite food ever.
