Bridal Bouquet

Photo by Cathy & David Photographers
This bouquet made my life. It's everything I wanted. And more.
With: Burgundy dahlias (my favorite flower!!) -- it's cool because the ones she selected have a yellow center (see groom's boutonniere below), burgundy berries, coral orange ranunculus (also an amazing flower!!), yellow billy balls, celosia (I think she used a yellow variety and a coral orange one), lavender scabiosa and scabiosa seed pods.
The idea was I wanted something with texture and less traditional ... Andrea suggested using maybe a few red roses to have a "recognizable" traditional flower in there if I wanted it, but I decided against it. I've never really cared about roses in the same way I have about other flowers.
Groom + Groomsmen + Usher Boutonnieres

The idea here was to have them all mismatched, but using similar flowers as found in the bridal bouquet and bridesmaid bouquets. Tim is the only one with the burgundy color. They were all wrapped in a dark gray ribbon, which was perfect.
Top Row, from L to R:

Bridesmaid Bouquets

The bridesmaids had similar flowers to the bride, minus some of the texture filler, and obviously the sizes are smaller. We originally talked about only incorporating the lavender scabiosa into the bridal bouquet and leaving it out of the bridesmaid's, but I decided I wanted that color scheme in all of the bouquet.
All of the bridesmaid bouquets were wrapped in aqua blue ribbon, to match our wedding colors. The flower girl bouquet was mainly burgundy (dahlias and berries) with hints of lavender (scabiosa). She also had hers wrapped in aqua blue ribbon.
Reception Centerpieces

We kept the tables pretty simple for the reception. I just don't really care for a ton of stuff getting in my way and impeding my view of other guests at my table. It can look cool in photos, but I just am not a huge fan of it in person. PLUS, this way was insanely less work for me :)
The floral arrangements here used similar flowers as above in the bouquets/bouts, but were placed in aqua blue Ball jars. They mostly used the burgundy dahlia, which is totally the best flower ever.
